Preparing for the 2011 Season

The 2011 season is still far away but preparations for it are running at full steam. In the period from 29.11.10 to 03.12.10 the PB RACING TEAM visited three different and very interesting places for any motorcycle fan. The first one was PSI, a factory producing racing suits in the town of Tumachov, the Czech Republic. It is a great place where you can have a look at the production of suits for motorsports. After they showed us the suits of the contestants in MOTO 2 and MOTO GP and their designs and new technologies, Martin Choy’s measurements were taken and we commented the design of the new suits for 2011. The new model, which will be released in February 2011, and will also be worn by KAREL ABRAHAM /MOTO GP pilot/, will be a compilation of super-thin calf and kangaroo leather. Advertising information will be printed directly on the leather without stripes, so as to make the suit lighter. With the new technology, the suit will weigh about 1kg less than the previous model /in other words, SUPER CHOY will be SUPER LIGHT/.

We were warmly welcomed and pleased to find out that we went to the right place. Our discussions about the design and the advertising logos will continue until the end of this year / early next year via email. Then we went to SLOVAKIARING by car – that was point two of our plan. At this place, Martin’s only task was to see a runway in winter and the podium for accepting prizes, where in 2011 we should see him. We went to this place to arrange some other issues which we would share with you another time. The view of such a facility covered with snow made us regret over our decision not to go there by SUBARU IMPREZA STi. Anyway, we saw the command console and recordings from the cameras showing how one man turned a motorcycle upside down from 200 km / h. It was pathetic but he got up and went on foot. It was a BMW motorcycle and its parts were scattered over an area of about 200 meters. It is really a great new facility, which is 1000 km away from Bulgaria, unfortunately. Point 3 of our plan was a very respectable place – the ALPHA RACING factory in Munich. That was superb! At the entrance of the factory we saw motorcycles, which I liked so much. ALPHA RACING is the company that transforms all BMW motorcycles into a racing motorcycle. At that time most of their specialists were doing tests in PORTIMAO but the agent, who had an appointment with us, came to see us. We presented our racer /super CHOY/ to him. Then he gave us information on BMW and we listened with interest. Great things are invented that are very accessible and easy to maintain. /Their team were in PORTIMAO to test a coupling nut/. ALPHA RACING maintain and invent new technologies for the BMW teams in the SBK and MOTO GP 2012 world championships.

We saw motorcycles for the International German Motorcycle Championship /IDM/. There were some buttons on the left handle that looked like a board from F16. That is for the dynamic traction control… Anyway, we explained what we wanted and he helped us choose what we needed from their goods. We had a laugh, once again admired the sports biography of SUPER CHOY, took some pictures and said goodbye to each other. The next point of our plan was BMW Motorrad Germany. It is situated next to SALZBURG. We had already seen the responsible person for Eastern European at the presentation of the new X3 in Sofia. So, our presentation was already made. We visited him to see their latest product which was released four weeks ago. This product is a new racing electronics and is developed on the bases of hundreds of tests for a period of two years. It is something you will see in 2011 or will rather pass so quickly that you will not see it.

It remains to exchange dozens of emails and everything is done. A lot of work awaits us. It is only the beginning of December now.
